Footsteps
Each Thursday the children have been participating in the "Footsteps" dance programme.  They have learnt 4 dances.   They are having a lot of fun learning and practising all the new moves.   Here are some photos of the children moving to the music.

Room 4's Classroom Treaty

In Room 4 we talked about the Treaty of Waitangi and why it is important to us.
We read the book The Tree House Treaty by Wiremu Grace.   The children made a treaty to agree on how they could all share the tree house they had built in the pohutakawa tree.

Next we made our own classroom treaty and signed it with our handprints.   We agreed to work, learn and play  together in Room 4.

FUSE Drumming

On Friday, the children in Room 4 had a super hands on experience.   Everyone had the opportunity to try Fuse Drumming.  There will be lessons available at school - a pamphlet is available outlining costs.

"One of the easiest and quickest ways to learn rhythm is through FUSE

Week 6

The start of another exciting week!

We have started swimming - the water is warm once the children get in and move around.  We are very lucky to have swimming instructors in on a Wednesday and Friday.  The children are really benefitting from their expertise.
